Intro
(munch, munch)
(hahaha)
Verse 1
Big hungry koala, sitting in the gum,
Snicky-snacky leaves and his dinner’s just begun.
Sniff-sniff, sniff-sniff, choosing which to eat,
Snicky-snacky, giggle-snacky, that one smells so sweet.
Chorus 1
Munch, munch, munch, big hungry koala,
Snicky-snacky, snicky-snacky, hungriest by far.
Munch, munch, munch, big hungry friend,
Snicky-snacky, snicky-snacky, munching till the end.
Verse 2
Way up in the gum tree, wedged into a fork,
Snicky-snacky hands are doing all of the work.
Hold-tight, hold-tight, fingers just like you,
Snicky-snacky, giggle-snacky, koalas have them too.
Chorus 2
Munch, munch, munch, big hungry koala,
Snicky-snacky, snicky-snacky, hungriest by far.
Munch, munch, munch, big hungry friend,
Snicky-snacky, snicky-snacky, munching till the end.
Action Break
Can you sniff like a koala?
(Sniff, sniff, sniff!)
Can you munch like a koala?
(Munch, munch, munch!)
Can you climb like a koala?
(Climb, climb, climb!)
Big hungry koala… here we go!
Verse 3
Big hungry koala, and he’s not a bear at all,
Snicky-snacky leaves as the evening starts to fall.
Chew-chew, chew-chew, slowly in the tree,
Snicky-snacky, giggle-snacky, full as full can be.
Chorus 3
Munch, munch, munch, big hungry koala,
Snicky-snacky, snicky-snacky, hungriest by far.
Munch, munch, munch, big hungry friend,
Snicky-snacky, snicky-snacky, munching till the end.
Bridge
Shhh, the big koala is asleep up in the tree,
Tiny, tiny breathing, and as still as still can be.
The gum leaves are rustling and the sun is sinking low,
And the big hungry koala sleeps for twenty hours or so.
Snicky… snacky… one last leaf,
Snicky… snacky… fast asleep.
Then he opens up one eye and he reaches for the sky,
Ready to snicky-snacky - there’s a whole tree to try!
Final Chorus
Munch, munch, munch, big hungry koala,
Snicky-snacky, snicky-snacky, hungriest by far.
Munch, munch, munch, everyone can try,
Snicky-snacky, giggle-snacky, kids and koala, hi!
Outro
Snicky-snacky, giggle-snacky…
Snicky-snacky, giggle-snacky…
Still hungry?
(Yes, yes, yes!)
