Verse 1
Big brown kookaburra, sitting in the gum,
Kickle-kackle beak, and the morning’s just begun.
Wake-up, wake-up, laughing at the sun,
Kickle-kackle, giggle-kackle, copy me - here’s one!
Koo!
(Koo!)
Chorus 1
Koo, koo, koo, big kookaburra, hey!
Kickle-kackle, kickle-kackle, laughing at the day.
Koo, koo, koo, big brown friend,
Kickle-kackle, kickle-kackle, laugh from end to end.
Verse 2
Big brown kookaburra, up before the light,
Kickle-kackle beak, and you call with all your might.
Loud-loud, loud-loud, calling out to say,
Kickle-kackle, giggle-kackle, copy me today!
Koo-ka!
(Koo-ka!)

Big brown kookaburra, calling with your crew,
Kickle-kackle beak, and the family answers too.

Bridge
Shhh, the big kookaburra is quiet on the branch,
Tiny, tiny breathing, as the wattle starts to dance.
The gum trees are still and the evening’s coming soon,
And the big brown kookaburra sings one last tune.
Kickle… kackle… very small,
Kickle… kackle… hardly there at all.
Then the whole family answers from the top of the tree,
Ready to kickle-kackle - come and laugh with me!
Outro
Kickle-kackle, giggle-kackle…
Kickle-kackle, giggle-kackle…
Can you copy? (Koo-ka-ka-ka-ka!)
