Can you climb like a cicada? (Climb, climb, climb!)
Can you sing in a chorus? (La, la, la!)
Little green cicada… all together!
Verse 3
Down in the ground he was hiding all year long,
Zizzy-zazzy waiting for the summer and his song.

Bridge
As the evening comes the buzzing softens to a hush,
Quiet in the gum trees in the golden evening flush.
The sun is going down and the sky is turning grey,
And the little green cicada folds his wings to end the day.
Zizzy… zazzy… soft and low,
Zizzy… zazzy… evening glow.
Then the morning sun comes up and it’s warm across the land,
Ready to zizzy-zazzy - the loudest little band!
Final Chorus
Buzz, buzz, buzz, little green cicada,
Zizzy-zazzy, zizzy-zazzy, buzzing in the summer air.
Buzz, buzz, buzz, everyone can try,
Zizzy-zazzy, giggle-zazzy, kids and cicadas, hi!
